Central (DStv channel 122) is pulling out all the stops to highlight funny female stars like Suzelle, Joan Rivers, Pamela Anderson, Roseanne Barr, Ariana Grande, Tiny Fey and Amy
Poehler across its flagships series.
Despite an unsatisfying social life, an upbeat “can do” attitude keeps South African comic sensation Suzelle smiling in the face of many challenges, as indicated in her signature catchphrase, “Because anybody can”. On Monday 29 August at 21:00 CAT, we feature Suzelle’s DIY “Viewer’s Choice Top 10” shows. Among the bizarre DIY tips Suzelle has shared with her fans are “How to Iron without an Iron”, “How to Make a Braai Pie”, “How to Make a Christmas Tree”, “How to Get Fluff Off Your Jersey”, and “How to Make a Loadshedding Survival Kit”. A slew of Suzelle DIY shows will air in the lead up to the Top 10 show during August starting with double bill episodes every Monday to Friday at 20:05 CAT from 1-12 August, and 10 back-to-back episodes over the first two weekends of August.
Legendary sketch comedy show, SNL, which airs every Saturday at 21:05 CAT, will feature some of the best female talent – from “Trainwreck” actress and comedian Amy Schumer (6 August) to former child star-turned pop diva Ariana Grande (13 August), best friends and comedy actresses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (20 August), and quirky “Spy” heroine Melissa McCarthy (27 August).
This month’s Roast menu will feature outspoken comic Joan Rivers (8 August), curvaceous beach babe and animal activist Pamela Anderson (15 August), and Emmy award winning comedian Roseanne Barr (22 August).
